Day 1Chandigarh – Shimla (110kms – 3hrs)

Arrive Chandigarh and transfer to Shimla. Arrive Shimla and check in to the hotel.

Shimla: Former summer capital of British India & now a capital of Himachal Pradesh set amidst the snow-capped shivalik mountain ranges offering some stunning views of the mighty Himalayas; it is surrounded by pine deodar, oak and rhododendron forests. Shimla offers a variety of shopping, sport and entertainment activities.

Day 2Shimla - Kufri - Shimla

Today morning after breakfast visit the Kufri a 30 Minutes’ drive from Shimla, an exotica of nature as a place surrounded by dense forest and snow caped mountains amidst virgin peaks and natures flora and fauna where one can completely relax and tune oneself for natural beauty, situated at an altitude of 2500 meters and a very popular ski resort during the winter months. Later take a walking tour of Shimla &, visit the Jakhoo hills which, offers panoramic views of the Shimla town, “Vice-regal lodge” “Mall road” ”Lakkar Bazaar” &“Ridge” later in the evening back to the hotel

Day 3Shimla - Manali(280 kms 8 hrs)

After breakfast check out from hotel ,drive to Manali. Enroute visit Kullu – the Valley of God.

Day 6Manali –Dharamshala (250 Kms / 08 Hrs)

Breakfast at the hotel. Pick up from the hotel for your picturesque drive towards Dharamshala.

Dharamshala is a beautiful and peaceful town spread at different levels and surrounded by snow covered dhauladhar ranges. Proceed to mcleodganj to visit world famous dalai lama temple , shopping in tibetan market it is the buddhist capital of the tibetan government in exile. Arrive Dharamshala check into the hotel.

*Triund is a ridge situated at an elevation of 2875 mt in the lap of Dhauladhar mountain range. It is very famous tourist spot in the western Himalayan range. To reach to this point one has to walk for 08 km from Mcleod Ganj town. Triund is also the gateway to reach and cross the beautiful and tough mountain pass called Indrahara Pass. Triund and above there are many big grasslands where one can see many shepherd grazing there herd of sheep and goats. From Triund one can hike upto Kunal Pathri temple as well which is located at an elevation of 3200 mt. To come back to Mcleodganj either walk back by same way or can take the different route which is steep downhill.

Shepherds, “Gaddis”, who migrate each spring with their flock from the foothills of the Kangra valley to the rich grazing areas of Chamba and Lahaul regions of Himachal Pradesh, Gaddi people inhabit on the both valleys of the Dhauladhar region namely Chamba and Kangra valley, start trek to Triund with packed lunch, Triund trek passes through thick forests of deodar, rhododendron and oak. You will find many food joints on the way. Light snacks and Dinner at Triund. Overnight stay at Triund in dome tents.

Day 7Dharamshala - Dalhousie (150 Kms/ 04 Hrs)

After breakfast check out from the hotel and proceed drive to Dalhousie. Arrive Dalhousie and check into the hotel. Evening scroll down the local market.

Day 8Dalhousie – Khajjiar

Breakfast at the hotel , after breakfast proceed for sightseeing of Khajjiar known as “mini switzerland”, khajjiar famous for the green meadow surrounded by pine forest and cedar forest , back to dalhousie and visit to sat dhara, panji pulla and shubhash baoli.

Day 9Dalhousie – Amritsar (202 Kms/ 5 Hours)

Breakfast checkout and start your journey towards Amritsar early in the morning.

ABOUT AMRITSAR

Amritsar city is one of the cities of the Punjab state in India. This city was founded by Guru Ram Das in 1574 on land bought by him for 700 rupeesfrom the owners of the village of Tung. Earlier Guru Ram Das had begun building Santokhsar Sarovar, near the village of Sultanwind in 1564 (according to one source in 1570). It could not be completed before 1588. In 1574, Guru Ram Das built his residence and moved to this place. At that time, it was known as Guru Da Chakk. (Later, it came to be known as Chakk Ram Das).

Evening visit to wagah border and attend Beating Retreat ceremony. The ceremony takes place every evening before sunset at the Wagha Border. The ceremony starts with a blustering parade by the soldiers from both the sides, and ends up in the perfectly coordinated lowering of the two nation’s flags.

Chandigarh: Picturesquely located at the foothills of Shivaliks, the Union territory of Chandigarh serves as the capital of Punjab and Haryana. The city derives its name from the temple of “”Chandi Mandir”” located in the vicinity of the site selected for the city. Arrive at Chandigarh, check in to hotel.
